Every great story needs a Venn diagram! Seriously, great article. I left science after a postdoctoral research position at Oxford University (preceded by PhD, MSc and BSc). I realised that I was likely to get stuck on the post doc hamster wheel for a long time, unlikely to ever get the stability of tenure.

I’ve spent the 20 years since very happy with my decision to pivot after such a big personal investment.
